What better way to spend a sunny summer’s evening than alongside great friends and fellow local music lovers? Head over to Hillcrest Quarry on Sunday, 22 January 2017 and catch Afrikaans rock legends Fokofpolisiekar at the A Major Rocks The Quarry concert. They will be performing back-to-back with Jack Stone and Defy Theory.
Fokofpolisiekar, a local band from the Mother City, has been smashing out tunes and entertaining South African and European audiences since 2003. Thirteen years later and they still take to the stage regularly to perform live shows at local haunts. The five-piece band, led by Francois Van Coke, is truly gifted, with members performing in other equally successful bands such as Die Heuwels Fantasies, aKING and Van Coke Kartel.
Taking to the stage at the same concert is Capetonian singer/songwriter Jack Stone. He has been performing since he was a child and taught himself how to play the guitar, piano, and bass. Also performing on the night is the Johannesburg rock band, Defy Theory, who are relatively new to the scene with three years under their belt.
