Riebeek Valley Olive Festival

One of the highlights on the annual South African culinary calendar, the Riebeek Valley olive festival offers a variety of restaurant choices and interesting market food stalls.

Highlights during the weekend include:
- Olive grove tours
- Olive & olive oil tastings
- Wine cellar tours & wine tastings
- Cheese tastings
- Farmers market offering local olive products, fresh produce & local delicacies
- Olive inspired menus at the participating restaurants
- Art exhibitions
- Performances by well-known musicians

The Riebeek Valley is located in the Swartland district & is only an hour's drive from Cape Town. The Riebeek Valley Olive Festival Train will also be commuting between Cape Town Station & Riebeek Kasteel on the Saturday & Sunday.

When: 5, 6 & 7^th May 2006

Train tickets are R100 per adult return & R50 per child return.
