They say you change your life by changing your surroundings. So if you feel like your days need some fun and excitement injected into them then consider redecorating and renovating your home! Getting your hands dirty during a DIY project is not only fun, it can be affordable too. Give yourself the dream home you’ve always wanted at this year’s Cape Homemakers Expo, which swoops into the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from Thursday, 31 August to Sunday, 3 September 2017. The range of products available is going to be as vast and impressive as ever, and this year’s expo theme is ‘A Tribute to Your Home’.
The annual handy-man’s utopia will give the grand CTICC an extreme home makeover, and those looking to breathe life back into their personal palaces will find plenty of products for purchase. From current interior trends and functional décor to state-of-the-art appliances and gardening demos; hundreds of vendors will be under one roof to give you all the advice, tips and tricks you need. Leading brands will put their latest merchandise on display, and up-and-coming designers will also be given a platform from which to showcase their creations and skills.

If you’re looking at making your home’s interior magical, then look for the Live by DESIGN exhibition. Check out the OUTSIDE display if you’re looking for ideas to make your patio and garden a relaxing haven or the perfect place to entertain. Be sure to snatch up some cool furniture, homeware, cookware and garden décor.
Watch the pros at the Home | Tuis Magazine Demo Theatre as they demonstrate the best tips and tricks for sprucing up your home without breaking the bank, or even a sweat. Whether it’s building, fixing, recycling or upcycling; these DIY gurus take décor dreams and make them trendy realities. Pick up a practical DIY tip or two!

Bolting around the massive venue will inevitably cause you to work up an appetite, but fear not; The MARKET will be stocked with a selection of some of South Africa’s finest craft beers, artisanal gins, cheeses, olives and great gourmet goodies to satiate your appetite.
So, whether you’re a first time home-buyer looking for ideas for your new nest or a seasoned real estate investor wanting to flip a fixer-upper, this is just the expo for you.
