Just when you think everyone’s over the legalisation of marijuana, Col’Cacchio releases a cannabis-infused pizza. It’s the first of its kind in Mzansi, and while they won’t get you high, the vegetarian Green Goddess and the meaty Not-So-Plain Mary Jane are definitely worth trying.

These two new additions to the Col’Cacchio menu contain no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or synthetic chemicals, and only use the AfricanPure CBD oil, which is usually used for medicinal treatment. The oil is known to have a range of benefits. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, helps with insomnia, reduces anxiety and eases arthritis. 

HOW THE PIZZAS ARE  MADE

True to Col’Cacchio tradition, the cannabis range is made with light and crispy wood-fired bases with fresh and flavourful toppings. The Green Goddess is topped with grilled zucchini, feta, fresh basil and CBD oil – while the Not-So-Plain Mary Jane is topped with mushrooms, peppadews, chicken, avocado dressing and the CBD oil.
