The Black Cat Bones present their Halos Tour 2017 taking place on 29 December at The Thirsty Oyster Tavern in Gordon’s Bay. The band is part of the Jäger Music Family, consisting of various top local artists and bands.
WHO IS BLACK CAT BONES?
The band was formed in June 2007 in Pretoria by members Kobus de Kock Jr (vocals), Andre Kriel (guitar), Chris van der Walt (bass) and Gareth Bunge (drums). Their main sound is South African rock, a sound that is recognised by locals all over SA. They have recorded three albums, Silverton Swamp Songs (2009), The Long Drive (2011) and Beatpiller (2013). In 2013, they won the MK Award for best live act and in 2014 their last album was nominated for the best rock album at the SAMA Awards. Black Cat Bones has been making waves since their inception as underground subculture champions to being a band that is enjoyed all over SA.
FREE ENTRY TO BLACK CAT BONES HALOS TOUR
The event kicks off from 8pm to 11pm at Thirsty Oyster Tavern in Gordon’s Bay. There’s no need to purchase no tickets, entry is free. But note that The Thirsty Oyster doesn’t take bookings for this one, so you’ll have to come in a little early, if you want to secure a table.
