Creepy, haunting Halloween ideas

Murder mysteries, spooky parties and things that go bump in the night

Last Updated: 23 October 2020

We have a spook-tastic selection of things to do this Halloween in Cape Town. From parties and mystery dinners to an unpredicted zombie outbreak, there’s something fun and freaky for everyone. Plus, if you’re into scary movies, the Blair Witch Project is playing at Cape Town High School.

You’re aboard a ship that crashes onto shore. Valuable cargo goes missing and your captain turns up dead. Who killed him? Why? Was it for Love? Obsession? Fear? The mystery is left for you to solve using the wreckage. If murder mystery is your game, join Be Part Of The Mystery on 31 October for a Halloween special. Come as bruised and bandaged as your shipwreck character would be. For more details on characters and rules, check out the Haunted Masquerade.
Price: R595 pp, includes a three-course meal
Tickets: Spots are filling up fast. You can secure yours via

Then on Saturday, 31 October (Halloween!), is the night to go all out. SurfaRosa will be hosting the Mask Gore’ade and the best dressed will win a prize.
