Inspired by 80s mid-century and modern glamorous style
Last updated: Friday, 19 September 2025
Regent Road, the heartbeat of Sea Point with its scores of boutiques, galleries, buzzing bars, and premium restaurants, is about to add another shining jewel to its crown: Dear Jean. It’s launching on Wednesday 8 October 2025 (the developers’ three previous projects sold out within minutes).
Each apartment will have a unique layout, with sea or mountain views, and an exquisite facade. To see floorplans, unlock the R200 000 discount, and save your favourite units, visit the Dear Jean website.

Dear Jean will sit along one of the most buzzing streets in the city (the first two floors will be retail spaces, so the apartments will be positioned above the bustling city noise).
It’ll be a 3-minute walk from the Promenade and Sea Point Pavilion, and 5 minutes from The Movement Lab for pilates classes, Nice To Matcha and Coco Safar.

There will be coffee shops, bars, and boutiques just a few steps away. Image: Dear Jean
Dear Jean will be developed by Quorum Holdings. Their previous projects, like Lady Backs, Charlie & the Chairman, and The Valour, were sold out on launch day in just minutes. The Valour, which was completely redeveloped, sold out in four minutes and was completed in August 2025.
They have a sterling reputation for revitalising properties and turning them into something incredible (the current property will be entirely redeveloped into Dear Jean).

Quorum Holdings is the prestiged developer. Image: Dear Jean
Whether you're looking to live or invest, there are plenty of options. There will be 82 apartments for sale (starting from R2.75 million) with studios, deluxe studios, and 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. Front-facing units will have sea views, while others will have gorgeous Lion's Head or Signal Hill views and a sneak of Table Mountain.
The exclusive penthouses, which start from R14.1 million, are customisable and the developers will work with you to create a space that feels like your home.
If you know Sea Point property, you know how rare it is to find an apartment with parking. Some Dear Jean units include parking in the purchase price, while others will get the first option to buy, and the rest will be sold on a first-come first-served basis.

If you opt for a furniture pack, your investment will be ready-to-rent. Image: Dear Jean
These aren’t cookie cutter units. Each will have a unique layout with two colour schemes to choose from, and optional furniture packs from premium interior designers Bone Studio and The Beautiful Room by Newman. You can opt for one of these if you’d like a move-in ready investment.
Bone Studio’s packs come in two options: John (with olive upholstery, rich walnut furniture, and brass and dark marble accents) and Jean (featuring rust and dusty rose tones with touches of honeyed oak). There’s also the option to upgrade and include art, scatter cushions, linen and towels.
The Beautiful Room by Newman also has two packs, in a neutral scheme or a colour scheme (with tones of burnt orange, olive green and yellow). Expect a blend of 80s mid-century mixed with modern glamorous style, which has inspired both the interiors and exteriors of Dear Jean.

The furniture packs are bespoke and some include premium appliances from Russel Hobbs. Image: Dear Jean
There’s strong demand for both short and long-term rentals in the Atlantic Seaboard because of the growing influx of business travellers, tourists and digital nomads.
Another benefit of buying off-plan property is that the prices are VAT-inclusive, there’s no transfer duties, and your purchase can qualify for Section 13Sex tax benefits if you own five or more new residential buy-to-let investment properties.
Dear Jean has partnered with Propr, which will manage your rental for you, making these units a hassle-free investment.
