A “Bizzare” encounter at Cape Town’s latest trance club
Summer concerts at Kirstenbosch Gardens are a definite highlight on the Cape Town events calendar. And don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out why with SA’s favourite music acts and one on the sprawling lawns of one of the world’s top three Botanical Gardens.
Below is the Carol by Candlelight concerts that have been scheduled for December. If you’re after the full line up then check out the overview of the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts 2011.
Traditional Christmas Carols, accompanied by the Cape Town Concert Brass and the Cape Town Male Voice Choir, organised by the Rotary Club of Kirstenbosch and sponsored by Pick n Pay. This event is a fundraiser for many needy charities across Cape Town.

Ross Johnson and his “ama Ambush” Marimba Band on all four evenings from 17:00 – 18:00
Thursday - Brothers Streep 18:00 – 19:00
Friday - Shanty 18:00 – 19:00
Saturday - Perfect Score 18:00 – 19:00
Sunday - The Gugulethu Tenors 18:00 – 19:00
Please note the Carol by Candlelight start at 20:00 and gates open at 17:00. The entrance fee on 15 December is R50p/p for adults, R30p/c for children (6 to 18 years) and R5p/c for children (2 to 5 years). On 16/17/18 December is R60 for adults, R40 for children (6 to 18 years) and R10 for children (2 to 5 years). Entrance fee includes a candle and song-sheet. (Regret no discount for Botanical Society members or students).
Tickets will only be available at Pick n Pay stores in the Western Cape.
