Here’s how Cape Town is celebrating Women’s Day

Run 1.6km for domestic abuse victims, help clean up Milnerton lagoon or enjoy a delicious breakfast for Women’s Day

Women's Day falls on a Sunday this year, which means we’re in for a long weekend. Fancy a special bouquet of (salmon) roses from Blowfish or an ‘80s throwback party with DJ Jazzy D? There is also a 1,6km walk happening in solidarity for gender-based violence victims. There are plenty of ways to make the most of your Women's Day long weekend. 

The Artscape Theatre's ever-popular Women's Humanity Arts Festival is going virtual. This year the festival is celebrating freedom and inclusivity for all humanity with a host of online events shining a light on gender-based violence. All funds raised will go straight to the SOS Trust and will help provide temporary homes and rehabilitation services for women and children leaving abusive households. The Power of One's third annual Women's Day race will be virtual this year. You can choose how far you'd like to run and when you'd like to run, between midnight and noon.
