Wedding dress shops and tuxedo suppliers in Cape Town

Where to buy wedding dresses and groomswear

Congratulations! You’re engaged and getting married in Cape Town. Once you’ve floated down from your tulle and lace cloud, you (the bride) realise you need to find a wedding dress, and the groom, needs a tuxedo. The good news is there are plenty of places to buy wedding dresses and groom wear in Cape Town, no matter if you’re looking for vintage wedding dresses, inexpensive wedding dresses, designer wedding dresses or second-hand wedding dresses and tuxedos. Read our comprehensive guide of where to purchase or hire wedding dresses in our fair city, and we’re certain you’ll find the perfect dress or suit for your perfect day.

Crystals and Crème
The mission at this Northern Suburbs bridal boutique is to make ‘every bride feel like a princess’. They offer imported wedding dresses at affordable prices, which range in cost from R3500 to R7500. Bridal dresses in cream, ivory and white have beautiful names, such as Cherry Blossom, White Orchid and Iris. The feel is classic and traditional with modern lines and tailoring – no poofy marshmallow dresses here; instead, think of mermaid skirts, layered lace wedding dresses (their speciality) and dainty decal. The fittings cost R200 for an hour, and within this time frame, brides-to-be will be able to try on 20 dresses. They advise the betrothed to bring bridal accessories with, as trying on your dream dress wearing flip flops won’t complete the effect – unless of course you’re planning a beach wedding.

Though, this bridal boutique doesn’t only trade in previously worn wedding dresses, it also stocks new and inexpensive gowns(also to buy or to hire) as well as bridal lingerie and veils. The store’s décor is as white as its material offerings, and is an elegant setting for a fitting —especially considering the fittings are at no extra cost.
