First look at Grub & Vine, chef Matt Manning’s new restaurant on Bree Street, plus: Two other new foodie experiences in this same space
Chef Matt Manning is well-known for his events where he hosted elaborate dinner parties such as "One Ingredient" and "Sunday Lunch Club". They were so popular that hotels and restaurants invited him to wow their guests with his creations and he quickly made a name for himself.
Now, you can experience the talented chef’s dishes at a permanent new residence in Bree Street called Grub & Vine and at The Chef's Studio on the top level.
Grub & Vine is located in Bree Street where IYO Burgers used to be. There are also two other new additions.
In the same space, on the top level of Grub & Vine, you’ll find chef Matt Manning’s interactive events space, The Chef’s Studio, promising experiential public and private events. Guests can explore their cooking abilities under professional guidance before indulging in a feast. Expect custom-built workstations equipped with the latest cooking technology, a communal table and an elegant private dining room.
You’ll also find the private wine merchants Frogitt & Vonkel's bar next door to Grub & Vine, offering premium local and international wines.
The small menu changes regularly, but you can expect a selection of dishes in a starter or main-size portion and a fine selection of wines. Think beef, porcini mushroom, Pommes Anna potatoes and beef sauce or poached and roasted baby chicken, sweetcorn and leeks in delicious braising juices. Top it all off with the likes of blackberry almond cake, honey custard and honeycomb.
When you see Matt, say congratulations! He is getting married to partner, Roxanne (well, the legal bits took place on the weekend). The wedding is on 10 April 2019 in Mozambique and we’re sure it will be incredible. We wish Matt and Roxanne all the very best.
