Discover a new Western Cape hiking trail every week

Find a secret waterfall or meet sleeping bats in a 150m long cave

Dust off your hiking boots and don't forget your camera because every weekend Trail Fit SA will take you through hiking trails lined with hidden natural gems. They've got a secret waterfall hike you'll only find out about on the day, along with a 150m cave that’s home to a colony of bats.

TAKE A DIP IN AN GUSHING WATERFALL

Just an hour out of Cape Town buried in the depths of the Bainskloof Pass you'll find secret waterfalls with unbeatable sunset views. Thanks to the heavy winter rains, the 3-tier waterfall you’ll be hiking to is at its fullest. For those who can brave the cold water, make sure to bring your cozzie and a towel.

TUNNEL THROUGH A 150M LONG CAVE

You won't need to venture too far to push your limits. Follow the Trail Fit leaders along a 150m long winding cave in Kalk Bay. Inside you'll find the most unique rock formations and a colony of bats. Pro tip: If you turn your torchlight off and keep as quiet as possible, you'll hear the bats’ tiny squeaks and calls echoing off the cave walls.

DISCOVER SOMETHING NEW EVERY WEEK

There's a hike scheduled for every weekend. To follow social distancing protocols, the Trail Fit team can only accept a handful of people, so you'll need to book in advance. To secure your spot, you can email directly to trailfitsa101@gmail.com, or you can call on +2784 267 5833.
