Readers of Runner’s World Magazine constantly ask the editors for guidance on the how, what and where of trail running – from technique, hydration, and supplements to equipment. So they got one of South Africa’s most successful trail runners to show you the ropes.
Multiple Red Bull Lion Heart Winner AJ Calitz will be hosting a trail running clinic in conjunction with the magazine at Deer Park on Saturday, 14 March 2020.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The event is very hands-on. The group will be learning and interacting with AJ Calitz on the trails. A short run, suitable for any level, is the part of the clinic where AJ will give individual feedback on form and technique.
There will be one-on-one practical skills training and technique drills, plus AJ’s coach and author of Running Essentials, Christoff Smit will do a practical training methodology session too. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

ATTENDING THE TRAIL CLINIC WITH AJ CALITZ + ALL THE GOODIES
There are limited tickets to keep the group small. Tickets are R450 and can be booked online. You’ll get a pair of Falke trail running socks, a 40% New Balance discount voucher, a one-year subscription to Runner's World (print or digital), a copy of Christoff Smit’s book Running Essentials (valued at R150), lucky-draw prizes, and breakfast at Tribe Coffee afterwards. For more information, contact the organisers directly on francois.malan@media24.com.
The clinic is suitable for those over the age of 18.
