Almost everyone knows someone who has been deeply affected by cancer in some way, so join the plight to kick the disease to the curb and stay fit in the process. It doesn’t matter if you run or walk, join powerful women as they take part in the Totalsports Women’s Race on Wednesday, 9 August 2017 – National Women’s Day – at the Grand Parade in town.
Choose to complete either a 5km or 10km circuit through the Mother City. You’ll run and walk with thousands of other women (and men, they’re welcome too) whilst raising awareness around breast cancer, including its prevention and treatment. The race, in association with PinkDrive, will raise money to improve the services available to women across South Africa, so every participant entry counts.
Once you cross the finish line, you can stick around and enjoy the live entertainment by Sketchy Bongo, the music maker from Durban responsible for hit singles like Get Right and Let You Know. Otherwise you can head home feeling satisfied that you got some healthy exercise done and contributed to a meaningful cause at the same time.

TICKETS TO THE 2017 TOTALSPORTS WOMEN’S RACE AT THE GRAND PARADE
Taking part in the 5km race costs R80p/p, whilst the 10km race costs licensed runners R120p/p. If you are not a licensed runner, you can purchase a temporary licence for R20p/p, which means your entry will cost R140p/p. Entry to the race can be completed online via Totalsportswomensrace.com. Hurry – entries close on Wednesday, 30 July 2017!
Registration takes place at the Grand Parade on Monday, 7 August from 9am to 2pm, and again on Tuesday, 8 August from 9am to 5pm. The race begins at 8am on the day. For more information, email entries@stillwatersports.com or phone +27 (0)82 991 0045.
