“Tango is not a dance, it’s a feeling.” – Anonymous
Get into the rhythm of summer and sway to sensual Argentine beats at Sunset Tango at the Pavilion by the Sea Point Promenade. This dance gathering, which is also called a milonga by Spanish speakers, invites all to bring a partner along for an evening of dancing. Sashay onto the outdoor dance floor and twirl until the sun goes down on Sunday, 12 November 2017.
This milonga forms part of a series of dance events that contributes to Cape Town’s growing Argentine tango community. By hosting evenings dedicated to the sexy dance and music genre the practise and popularity of the art form grows. It’s a great way to meet fellow tango dancers too.

DJ Sylvia Westcott will keep the dancefloor spicy with authentic Argentine Tango, Tango Waltz and Milonga music. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Pavilion’s surrounding kiosks.
Please note that in the event of rainy weather, this outdoor affair will be postponed. Keep an eye on the Sunset Tango Facebook page for updates.

ENTRY TO THE 2017 SUNSET TANGO AT THE SEA POINT PROMENADE
This milonga is completely free to join! All are welcome to dance or even simply watch. The dancing kicks off 6pm and the music will stop at 8pm.

There are so many reasons to spend time wandering this seafront walkway lined with park lawns. Ice cream trucks pull up on weekends, Robben Island is in full view. There’s even an outdoor gym on the Sea Point Promenade.
