V&A Waterfront presents: Live Music This Friday at Battery Park

Skate, SUP, play basketball against the backdrop of live music

Cape Town’s newest playground comes alive this Friday from 4pm to 8pm, when the V&A Waterfront presents the Sunset Series at Battery Park.

Battery Park is the new urban park that connects the Waterfront to the city through a series of scenic pedestrian routes, recreation and retail activities. It’s a green space that forms part of the Canal District of the V&A Waterfront.

CAPE TOWN’S NEWEST PLAYGROUND – AND FREE
Throngs of people already use it and a number of free activities happen there. Skateboarding, SUPing, basketball, and a free yoga class every Wedensday at 18h00. Some people just come to relax, read a book, chill or play in the backyard of the Waterfront.

For a few Fridays there are the Sunset Series from 16h00-20h00.

HOW TO GET THERE
Battery Park entry is free and it's also super accessible. “Coming straight off the N1, you’ll see the green fields, and, hopefully, the live music will draw you in to come meet us. There is parking available.” Balmoral Deli will have their food truck on-site, selling fresh produce. Coffee will also be on sale.

There’s no better reason than this to skip the traffic this Friday.
