Dust off your special leather jacket because it’s time for the first bike rally of the year. The Stiek Yt rally turns 10 years old and is happening at the Palmiet Caravan Park on 31 January.
EAT, PLAY, RIDE
Stiek Yt takes advantage of the Palmiet Caravan Park’s natural resources hosting various lagoon water games in the dam. There will also be a kids tent with jumping castles, games and sweets, a concour (competition of elegance) involving beautified and prestigious bikes, live entertainment and mass rides to various locations in the area.
You can camp anywhere on the campsite and braai spots will also be open, plus various food stalls and a cheap biker bar will be available at the event. Although there will be a competition for the best-represented biker club, you don’t have to belong to a club to attend and you can even come in your car, bakkie or caravan.
STIEKING YT AT THE EVENT
Entry costs R220 and you also need to pay a separate cost if you come with a van or bakkie (R400), caravan (R300) or cars (R200). You get a pre-entry form by emailing purevenom.mc@gmail.com - fill it in and then send it back to the organisers.
Note that the gates will only open for the rally on 31 January. If you show up the day before you will have to pay the regular Palmiet Caravan Park fee.
