It’s back this summer everyone! This is your opportunity to finally get up and do some running. I must admit, the only time I run is when it is for my life but 2017 is a new year and I feel a change coming on! The Spur Summer Trail Series is here with four awesome trail runs; tackle them all and forever have that achievement to think back to.
The Spur Summer Trail Series kicks off with their first race on Sunday, 15 January 2017 in Elgin Valley. The series features four races in total with it drawing to an end on Sunday, 26 February 2017.
In order to qualify for the long route Championship or short route Challenge, runners need to run three out of the four long or short courses depending on their selected category. However, less experienced trail runners are welcome to participate in one or two of the races instead. Part of the beauty of this event is that it caters for everyone, regardless of whether you’re a trail-blazing superstar or just starting out on your off-road running career.
Trail Series® founder and Wildrunner MD, Owen Middleton extends on the race’s accessibility to everyone, “We’re still seeing massive growth in the numbers of novice runners who want accessible, short course races to try out the trail running experience in beautiful and exciting places. At the same time the routes remain challenging enough for the experienced mountain goats and racing snakes.”
