Saturday Seafood Grill at Radisson Blu’s Flagship Restaurant
This three-course seafood buffet is Saturday night done the right way
There’s no better place to savour seafood than by the seaside, and very few Cape Town restaurants get as close to the sea as Tobago’s Restaurant and Bar. From Saturday, 4 November 2017, Radisson Blu V&A Waterfront’s flagship restaurant will host you for an appetising seafood grill buffet on their terrace.
While you can select seafood from the a la carte menu any day of the week at Tobago’s, Saturday evenings are particularly special for seafood lovers. The chefs at this fine restaurant leave the confines of their kitchen and come onto the terrace armed with their grills and the freshest seafood available to treat diners to Saturday Seaside Grill.
With the Atlantic Ocean a pebble plop away from your table, you can enjoy an uninterrupted 180-degree view of the sunset across the water. The vibe is relaxed, so you can grab a table, sip on a cocktail, admire the ocean and let your senses guide you to the food.
You’ll have to pace yourself though as you start with a selection of cold starters and salads, including crab sticks, calamari, mussels, mackerel, salmon and a large variety of greens. There’s also a soup station and a selection of breads.
Mains include your choice of grilled line fish, calamari and prawns. A seafood coconut curry, with black mussels with white wine and fennel sauce is on offer too, as well as seafood paella and prawn curry. Sides include pan-fried vegetables, roast potatoes and basmati rice.
Fortunately, you’re not rushed at Tobago’s, which is just as well when you consider the 10 desserts on offer at the Saturday Seaside Grill. Choose between decadent dishes like apricot frangipane squares, crème caramels, chocolate profiteroles, double chocolate mousse, berry pavlova, baked vanilla cheesecake and warm chocolate pudding. Come hungry.

The cost of the Saturday Seaside Grill is R425 per person. The event begins at 6pm every Saturday night. Booking is essential and reservations can be made by calling +27 (0)21 441 3000.
