Family Vibes In The Winelands At The Saturday Market

Picnic on the lawn while your kids have fun in the supervised play area

Bloemendal Wine Estate is a great weekend destination for the whole family at the Saturday Market. Experience the beauty of the estate, browse crafts, have fun, enjoy great food and wine as well as a friendly atmosphere. The Saturday Market at Bloemendal takes place on Friday and Saturday, 3-4 January 2020, and every Saturday with additional dates added in over the festive period.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY
The family-friendly market at Bloemendal Wine Estate is set on a lawn where there are tables and chairs as well as a beer tent with wooden bench seating to offer some shade. The venue offers an obstacle course, slide, jumping castle, games and more with childminders in the play area. Dubmasta China will set the musical tone with easy-going beats to create a laid-back atmosphere.

RETAIL THERAPY
You can do some Christmas shopping and support local makers such as Matt Cargill photography, Jolex bags, and Starfish decor.

A BITE TO EAT
The Saturday Market has an assortment of goods from food trucks such as Curry Hut and Blakeys Beans as well as wood-fired pizza and sushi from the on-site Bon Amis cafe and Smoken Deli. Artisan traders will be selling cheeses, breads, olives, balsamic vinegar, cured meats and preserves so you can stock your pantry. Beer lovers can enjoy a cold one in the beer tent, away from the hullabaloo of the kids play area.

A SPOT OF WINE TASTING
Bloemendal’s winemaker, Andri Hanekom can guide you through a tasting of Bloemendal’s range of wines, Bloemendal offers you a choice of five wines for tasting; three from the Waterlily range and two from the Estate range, for R50 per person. The tasting takes place in the tasting room, right next to the market area.

ATTENDING THE SATURDAY MARKET AT BLOEMENDAL
Entry to the market is free. For more information, contact the organisers on info@bonamis.co.za. Free and secure parking is available at the premises.
