HQ Raise The Steaks: Pete Goffe-Wood Picanha Edition

A new cut of meat and a select wine pairing with chef Pete Goffe-Wood raises the steaks

Cape Town's monthly special steak night "Raise The Steaks" is firing up the grill for the Picanha Edition with a cut of steak you’ve probably never heard of before and a secret wine pairing.

Teaming up with celebrated chef and MasterChef SA judge, Peter Goffe-Wood, the ninth edition of this tasty event promises something unmissable on 14 November 2018 at HQ restaurant on Heritage Square.

A NEW CUT OF STEAK
Guests will be treated to a Picanha cut – the top piece of the rump – which is extremely popular in Brazil and is as tender as a fillet with all of the flavour of the rump. And as they never like to leave anyone out, vegetarians will have a special alternative prepared for them on the night.

SELECT PAIRINGS: TOKARA WINES
For this extra-special November Picanha Edition, chef Goffe-Wood will pair four courses with mostly select wines from Tokara Wine estate in Stellenbosch's Simonsberg mountain. The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc and 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon feature. And look out for the 10-year-old potstill brandy, too.
