We genuinely can’t think of an afternoon better spent than at a bubbly festival. Paul Rene are the makers of one of SA’s most loved Methode Cap Classique and they’re hosting a summertime celebration of their signature wine. Immerse yourself in the beautiful Robertson countryside with a chilled glass of deliciousness in your hand on Saturday, 4 November 2017 at Wonderfontein Wine Estate.
As if bubbly isn’t enough of a motivation, this year's festival partners are Clemengold Gin and Cherry Time, bringing you gin cocktails and cherries. The Paul Rene Brut and Brut Rosé will be on sale at discount prices.

It’s a life hack that drinking on an empty stomach is a bad idea, so there will be plenty of yummy treats to absorb all the bubbly. Seafood goes particularly well with MCC, so Saldanha Bay oysters are on the menu, as is salmon from a little further away (Norway, to be exact). Feast your eyes on the beauty of Robertson, and the delicious flavours on offer.
On the entertainment menu for the day, expect lawn games, croquet and boules are like something out of an English film about fancy boarding schools. Alas, Prince Harry won’t be there but you’ll be too distracted by the insane urge to beat total strangers at a game you’ve never played. There will be live music by renowned singer and songwriter Arno Carstens as well as horse rides and other activities for the little ones.
