Keep cool this summer with these tasty alcoholic frozen-treats from NOMAD Bistro Fusion in Cape Town
Last Updated: 29 November 2016
Cape Town’s NOMAD Bistro Fusion has hit the nail on the head this summer. Enter Beer and Wine Infused Ice Lollies. Need we even say more?
The quirky restaurant, located in the heart of the CBD on Waterkant Street, is serving Mother City folk – as well as everyone else who graces our pretty shores – a selection of ice-cold alcoholic treats in the form of its craft beer and red and white wine infused ice lollies; a must-try first for the Cape Town restaurant scene. (And yes, we already know all about Haute Cabriere’s PJ Pops.)

NOMAD’s owner Mohit Sureka stated: “Making ice lollies from beer and wine have been on our wish list since we launched in April, but just like many other new restaurants in the city, we were waiting on our liquor licence. Now that it’s approved, we are really excited to introduce these alcoholic treats to our customers.”
So what makes these boozy icicles simply irresistible?
According to Mohit it’s the natural fruit tastes used to ensure that each popsicle is bursting with flavour from the first lick right down to the last. While the red and white wine lollies provide testers with sweet and spicy savours, the beer suckers – or ‘hopsicles’ rather, which are made from some of the Cape’s top craft ales and lagers – feature more malty and yeasty, lemony flavours on the palate.
Seriously though. What more could we want?!
