Rudolph Giuliani speaks at Global Leaders Africa Summit in Jo'burg

Eleven international leaders of thought will come to Johannesburg for the Global Leaders Africa Summit, including Rudy Giuliani.

This winter the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg will host the Global Leaders Africa Summit 2006. From June 20 to June 22 2006, eleven international ‘leaders of thought' will discuss and analyze the nature, the future and the potential of African leadership. Leadership on the African continent as well as leadership in the international sphere.

The line-up of speakers and delegates is impressive. One of the other speakers on Leadership is Rudolph "Rudy" Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and author of the international bestseller "Leadership". Giuliani proved to be a very strong leader after the terrorist attacks on New York city on 11 September 2001. Immediately after the collapse of the Twin Towers, killing thousands of people, Giuliani began leading the Big Apple's to its recovery. All his energy went straight into the restoration of the city as well as the restoration of the morale of the New Yorkers.

For these and other efforts, Giuliani was named
Person of the Year by Time Magazine, knighted by the Queen of England, and dubbed "Rudy the Rock" by French President Jacques Chirac. Former first lady Nancy Reagan presented him with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award.

Rudoph Giuliani is currently the managing director
of Changing Our World, Incorporated. This is an American fundraising and philanthropic services company with headquarters in New York.

Or take for instance Hernando de Soto. He is one of the most important ‘development thought leaders' of the last millennium. Over the years Hernando de Soto was awarded with several prestigious awards. He won the Nobel Prize for Finance in 2002, the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty, the Swiss Freedom prize, the CARE Humanitarian Award, and the Templeton Freedom Prize in 2004.

Time magazine named Hernando De Soto as one of the five leading Latin American innovators of the century in its special issue on "Leaders for the New Millennium". Time Magazine also included him on its Time 100 list of the most powerful and influential people in the world for 2004

We will inform you on news about the Global Leaders Africa Summit as soon as news comes in.
