Let Lionel croon tunes to make you swoon during his South Africa tour

With a killer career and a voice that’s broken many a heart, the great Lionel Richie will be performing in South Africa in 2016, with his All The Hits All Night Long tour. The ‘Three Times a Lady’ singer-songwriter has extended his tour and will be in Durban on Sunday, 13 March, in Cape Town on Friday, 18 March, and in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 15, Sunday, 20, and Monday, 21 March 2016.

• 18 March 2016: Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town
• 15, 20, 21 March 2016: Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg

With album sales that attest to the fact that he’s one of the greatest artists of all time, Richie has had a long and fruitful career with 10 studio albums, three live albums and seven compilation albums to his name. He began his career in 1968 and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide since then. His Can’t Slow Down album has been certified platinum 10 times and was the third best-selling album in the world in 1984.

During his musical beginnings with the Commodores group Richie produced hit after hit, including ‘Still’, ‘Easy’, ‘Lady’ (written for Kenny Rogers), and ‘Endless Love’ with Diana Ross. ‘Endless Love’ received an Academy Award and Golden Globe nomination, placing Richie firmly on the map as a musician to watch.

He went on to embark on a successful solo career, producing a self-titled debut album that earned him a Grammy for the track ‘Truly’. Fans can expect a selection of Richie’s greatest hits, including ‘All Night Long’, ‘Penny Lover’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Stuck On You.’ So be prepared to rock out in old school style while singing along to some of your favourite golden oldies.
