How to drive to Franschhoek from Cape Town via the N1
Franschhoek is the Western Cape’s very own little French village.
80 km from central Cape Town
Look for signs N1 (direction Paarl - Johannesburg)
Follow the N1 for app. 35 Km
10 Km before reaching Paarl, take the off ramp to Klapmuts (R44)
At the end of the off ramp, turn right under the N1
After 300 metres, drive straight on at the four way crossing
After 200 metres, turn left (follow the sign Franschhoek)
Drive on for approximately 10Km, until you reach a T-junction
Turn right, following the sign Franschhoek, along the R45
After approximately 20 Km you enter Franschhoek - Huguenot Street
