Why not try some alternative methods for keeping fit and active? The Moving Humans are hosting a convention that will bring various movement arts together in one place, and it’s happening on 29 February and 1 March at Camps Bay High School.
FROM ACROYOGA TO JUGGLING
The convention will consist mainly of workshops. Each day will have four workshops, with up to three mini classes within the main workshops to choose from. There will be everything from parkour with martial artist and parkour instructor Justin Bergemann, acroyoga with certified teacher Marissa Dana, stretching and warm-up through flexpression with dancer Conway October, and you can overcome fear and surpass expectations by learning to slackline with Mary and Burghen
You can also learn to juggle various objects by learning partner poi with professional performers Caitlin and Duncan or just dance with the guys from secret sunset silent parties.
All of the workshops are fully interactive. At the end of the second day, there will be a cypher/jam session where people can freely practice everything they’ve learned.
EATS AND TREATS
There won’t be any food trucks or vendors at the event, but attendees can pre-order lunch packs that will be ready and waiting during the lunch break.
BE A PART OF THE MOVING HUMANS REVOLUTION
Entry to the convention costs R500 for one day and R900 for the entire weekend. Tickets can be booked online at Quicket.
