Start your day at MAReSOL! This gorgeous seaside restaurant is running spectacular specials to whet your appetite. For only R29.95 you get yourself two eggs, two rashers of bacon, grilled tomato and toast. Or make a turn for lunch or dinner and enjoy a whole, free-range piri piri chicken for R115. Either way, these are flavourful food specials you don’t want to miss.

This Portuguese restaurant, which has some Mozambican influences, recently opened at the V&A Waterfront. It’s offering an exciting new dining experience in the area. “The majority of the cuisine at the V&A is seafood. We also great seafood dishes on our menu but we wanted to offer more variety too,” Marketing Manager, Michelle Smit says.

The menu is bursting with mouth-watering meat, poultry and fish dishes and you can expect your food with a bit of a kick! If you prefer something other than the incredible breakfast special, the Portuguese breakfast pan, for R85, might be for you. The medley of jalapenos, fresh basil, garlic, chorizo, cheese and baked eggs is sure to wake you up and put a spring in your step. A milder alternative would be the three-egg omelette, for R35, packed with fresh herbs and your choice of filling. If the sound of the piri piri chicken special is too hot to handle, MAReSOL’s giblets are a satisfying alternative, and a steal at just R59.

Vegetarians are also catered for at this picturesque eatery. For R65 you can enjoy a sizable serving of spicy tomato soup, or indulge in a chickpea curry or a spicy kidney bean medley with kidney beans, peppers, red radish, tomato and carrots served with rice and crushed avocado for just R85 each

At such affordable prices it would be a travesty not to treat yourself to one of their sweet finishes. For R55 you can get a Pastei de Natal. The almond tart served with vanilla ice cream is just delicious too, and at just R59 it may well be worth having both desserts!

The two specials run daily. The breakfast special is R29.95 and ends when the breakfast service ends at 11:30am. The piri piri chicken special is R115 and is available for lunch and dinner.
