Lights Out at Jack Black Brewery

Sink you teeth into some gourmet burgers, which pair exceptionally well with Jack Black’s delectable beer

This june, Jack Black’s Brewery will be celebrating Youth Day with a little party, craft beer style. On Friday, 16 June 2017, Jack Black’s Brewery will open their newly constructed brewery for an evening filled with gourmet burgers, high quality music provided by local band Lights Out and an endless supply of sensational golden brew.

The evening’s entertainment will be be provided by local band Light’s Out. The four piece alt-rock/blues band, based in Cape Town ,take their inspiration from the likes of Eric Clapton and Led Zepplin. They will be taking your night to the next level with their unique fusion of funky jazz, blues and classic rock. We can’t wait to hear how well this local band pairs with gourmet burgers and great beer.

Celebrate being young and free with an evening of good food, good friends and great beers. On offer at the event, the brewery will have all of their beers on tap; Brewers Lager, Atlantic Weiss, Cape Pale Ale, Keller Pils, Butcher Block, Lumberjack and Skeleton Coast. They have also just released a new limited edition beer; Fresh Hop IPA which will be available. The Jack Black Brewmaster personally sourced and selected the hops from a small farm in the Outeniqua Valley. The undertaste is one of grass and citrus, with fresh berries and grapefruit earthed with a slight wooded taste, to round off the experience.

While we are on the topic of delicious taste experiences, let’s talk about the burgers. Their Butcher Block Burger combines a freshly baked bun coated in seeds with a handmade 200g burger patty. They baste their burgers in their special BBQ sauce and  top the patty with feta, gherkins, streaky bacon and fresh rocket. The Oh Crumbs Chicken Burger combines jalapenos, brie cheese, caramelized onions and mustard mayo with crumbed free range chicken breast. Their ‘Fall Apart’ burger is made up of slow cooked pulled pork, coriander and asian coleslaw. Sounds yum!
