The story of Sugar Cakes

Spending the morning with Linda Knop changed my life

My heart skipped a beat when I first walked into the most beautiful house I have ever seen. I was then greeted by cute smiling faces of figurines on some of Linda Knop’s cupcakes.

My first impression was one of complete awe; this lady has a unique and creative flair. She even served us orange juice with blueberries. Who would have thought?

Looking at the cupcakes, the first thought that came to mind was a quote that I stumbled upon; "You can't look at a cupcake without smiling" and boy, did Linda’s cupcakes make me smile from ear-to-ear.

Lets have a little peak into the life of Linda Knop:

CTMag: Describe yourself in one sentence

Linda: “I am and always have been a very ambitious and artistic person that is always moving forward and will go to great lengths to bring out the best in myself.”

CTMag: Describe your cupcakes in one sentence:

Linda: “In order to be irreplaceable, one must be different. I put a lot of love and detail into every single piece and I think detail is the key.”

CTMag: What or who is your inspiration?

Linda: “First and foremost, my family, I have two beautiful daughters and a very supportive husband, music is another one as well as the French culture.

CTMag: What would you say is your ‘signature?’

Linda: “My roses, definitely my roses, they look so real. Each petal is individually made and then molded together by hand. I am always so proud of my roses and actually all my flowers as I also do lilies. I even kept the very first rose I made.”

CTMag: What do you do besides baking?

Mosaic! I love to mosaic. I’m a creative person and I need to be working with my hands all the time. I take pride in everything that I do and make sure that I give 120 percent on everything.

CTMag: When you were a little girl, what did you want to be?

Linda: “I just remember always wanting to draw and use my artistic nature. I also wanted to write a book.”

Linda is the real sweet tooth fairy and she is only a call away to bring you a magical cupcake and or cake for any occasion, you name it and it’s done. Be it a birthday, a first date, a baby shower or a wedding.

Remember! Linda’s Sugar Cakes are freshly baked; so not only do they look good, the taste damn good too!

If you are interested to learn the Art of Sugar Craft, Linda will be starting her own classes from the 15 February 2011.
