So you’ve survived hump-day and Thirsty Thursday is upon you, but you’re ready to venture through the streets of Cape Town a little differently this time, with GONOW Electric bicycles. Capetonians are known to begin their weekends on a Thursday night, and what better way to start off the weekend than with a relaxing cruise on an e-bike as the sun goes down?
Join locals and travellers alike to witness the majestic views of Cape Town with a bit of a twist. Skip the sweat and enjoy the ride on this new-age two-wheeler!
With extensive travel experience, co-founders Laurence Haskel and Brad Levitan latched onto this economical phenomenon trending across the globe. Laurence and Brad decided to spice things up in the Mother City! “It’s a great alternative to a scooter or a car that takes up space, uses petrol and causes noise and pollution,” says Laurence passionately.
Even though you need the basic knowledge and understanding of riding a bike, don’t be fooled into thinking that you need to be part of the #FitFam in order to enjoy the pleasures of this technologically advanced travel experience. The GONOW Electric Bicycles are very much like a normal bike, with an extra pedal assist function, which does all the work while you cruise your way through the scenic streets of Cape Town.
The sunset trip begins at 6:30pm at 253 Regent Road in Sea Point, heading over to the well-loved Sea Point Pavilion, riding along the beach through to Bantry Bay, stopping along Sea Cliff Road for one of the four to five photo opportunities. The group will then continue through to Green Point and turn around into the sunset at Mouille Point.
