Furley’s Bar & Grill brings some new excitement to Newlands Main Road. What used to be the Golden Spur Steak Ranch for the past 18 years is now home to this new family-friendly restaurant and bar. It’s a modern and welcoming space, with a children's play area, a stage for live entertainment, a fully stocked bar (of course), delicious food, and great service.

EAT OUT ON A BUDGET IN NEWLANDS

No need to break the bank; Furley’s is known for some “lekker” specials. The Tuesday Pizza Party gets you two pizzas for the price of one, while Wednesday’s Burger Bonanza offers two saucy burgers for the price of one. Thursday is date night, so spoil your better half with a 200g sirloin steak and calamari main, plus two glasses of house wine.

Not going for the specials? Then kick off lunch or dinner with Smoked Jalapeno Poppers, Buffalo Wings, Beer Battered Onion Rings, Fiery Steak Strips, or a Calamari Starter. For mains, there are wraps with grilled Cajun chicken strips, pizza, burgers with a homemade sauce, steak, ribs, and more. Plus, there’s vegetarian and banting options too.

GET DRINKS AT THE TRENDY BAR

Although Furley’s is a family-friendly space, there’s also a trendy bar that attracts the young crowd. It has neon lights and modern high-chairs, creating a classy feel. The options are endless, from gin, beer and rum-and-raspberry on tap to classic cocktails and wine. There’s also a 2-hour “happy hour” from Monday to Friday, between 5pm and 7pm.

Bring your crew. Pose. Snap. Repeat. Look out for these three spots that scream Instagram: Angel wings made out of neon lights on the stairs, a neon sign in a comfortable corner that reads, “This is our happy place”; and a lush green hanging wall lit with a Furley’s sign.
