Take A Guided Hike Through This Franschhoek Mountain

Explore the flora and fauna of Franschhoek with a hike at La Motte

There is no better way to get in touch with nature than to experience it in real time with someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about it, and you get that opportunity every Monday with La Motte Wine Farm.

The guided hike starts at the La Motte Tasting Room and stretches for five kilometres, taking about 2–3 hours. Hikers are led by a knowledgeable and passionate guide who informs guests about the flora and fauna of the Franschhoek Valley. Hikers also receive a hiking trail map, bottle of water and are treated to light refreshments. A self-guided hike is also available from Monday to Saturday.

Note: The hiking trail is closed during rainy conditions and when the temperature exceeds 35°C.
