Work your way through a 3-storey experience at Liam Tomlin’s newest hot spot
UPDATE: Chefs Warehouse is replacing the Bailey Bistro. Read more about it here.
Last updated: Monday, 6 June 2022
Liam Tomlin is behind yet another special offering coming to Cape Town's Bree Street. The Bailey is located opposite Tomlin’s original Chefs Warehouse site and is set in a 3-storey historic building. It boasts a café, brasserie, champagne bar and a whiskey bar.

The Bailey is centrally located across from Heritage Square. Image: Lara van Zyl
The Bailey is split into three levels with four different spaces – each with its own mood. Café Bailey is an all-day café perfect for a light breakfast or lunch, while Brasserie Bailey is slightly more polished with classic French dining.
If you’re in the mood for a cosy night out, The Bailey also has two in-house bars. Sip on bubbly and snack on oysters at the Champagne Bar, or opt for a glass of single-malt at the Old Bailey Whiskey Bar.

Café Bailey is open: Monday to Saturday, 7am to 9pm
Brasserie Bailey is open: Monday to Saturday, 12pm - 9pm
Old Bailey is open: Monday to Saturday, 3pm till late
