Vortex Phoenix: Natural Wonder Trance Party at Hillcrest Quarry

Warm up this winter with an indoor/outdoor stompfest at this super unique Durbanville venue

Just when you thought it was safe to stash your stomping boots, the wild call of a slick jol reverberates through the Mother City. That’s right folks, the awesome people at Vortex Trance Adventures along with MindZone bring you the Natural Wonder party that is set to rock the Hillcrest Quarry on Saturday, 26 July 2014.

For those who missed out on the Festival of Fire fiesta in June this year (2014), this event provides the perfect opportunity to experience the rejuvenating effects of the mythical phoenix. Located just 30 minutes from the CBD, this indoor 16-hour day/night jol not only manages to connect with nature at a one-of-a-kind venue, but also aims to keep the chill at bay with a non-stop party beneath the sprawling marquee. More intimate than its weekend-long counterparts, the party is limited to only 800 revelers, so attendees don’t have to worry about stomping on each other’s toes.

Aside from the top-notch DJs who will blaze up the dancefloor, party-goers can look forward to an off-the-hook stomp session with Cape Town diva Wendy Oldfield who, along with beat maker Daimon Findlay and special guest Tim Parr of Ella Mental fame, will turn up the heat with her new electronic dance music project, Soulfield.

• Turn right at the traffic lights onto Potsdam Road.
• At the T-junction, turn right onto Contermanskloof Road.
• At next T-junction turn left onto Tyger Valley Road.
• After 3 km, the venue will be on the left.
