Whether you celebrate Easter or not, there are plenty of things to do over the long weekend. We’ve included egg hunts and family Easter festivals of course, but if you’re looking for something different, there’s also a safari getaway (only one hour from Cape Town), comedy night filled with legendary local comics, free magical light art exhibition, candlelit concert, high tea with hot cross buns, and more.
Reforest Fest is a tree-planting festival first, where thousands of indigenous trees are planted over Easter weekend but it’s also so much more. You’ll wander between laughter yoga, incense making workshops, and curated wine tastings. There’s also live music, silent discos and glamping. Here’s all you need to know about Reforest Fest 2026.
Date: Friday, 3 April to Monday, 6 April; from 8am
Cost: From R1250 for adults and R425 for kids, book via Fixr
