On the 17 November 2011 Cape Town plays host to singing sensation Tori Amos at the Grand West Grand Arena. The South African dates will make up part of her world tour to promote her album Night of Hunters, an epic collection of songs inspired by classical pieces of the past 400 years.
This is, quite literally, vintage Tori Amos, in scope and in sound. With Night of Hunters, Amos carries on the classical tradition of variations on a theme: taking inspiration from classical forms to create a bold new work while paying tribute to the mastery of the original compositions.
Tori Amos's best known songs include Crucify, Cornflake Girl, and A Sorta Fairytale. She has sold over 12 million albums and has been nominated for eight Grammy awards.
