Lakeside Lodge in Sedgefield is, this April, hosting a high tea that Daisy Buchanan would adore to attend. This high-society themed bash will plunge you into the world of ladies-who-lunch and country gentlemen. On Saturday, 15 April 2017 Lakeside Lodge and Spa in Sedgefield is opening their doors for an afternoon of sophistication and fanciness.

Guests are invited to relax in the shade and sip on a glorious selection of tea; green, black, sweet, floral, exotic or spiced, you name it, they have it all. Tea is a personal passion of mine and believe me when I say that there is nothing more relaxing that having a lovely cuppa in the shade on a hot summer's day. Guests will be serenaded by the extremely talented Shaza Greef, their resident muso.

The only thing that will improve this image is delicious finger foods, and lots of them. The organisers have made sure that you will be spoiled for choice with dainty finger sandwiches, perfect petit fours and other delicious yummies; what else do you expect from high tea? The executive chef has devised a scrumptious selection, inspired by the land of fine patisserie; France.

The Grand Gatsby High Tea kicks off at at 2pm with, hopefully, sunny weather and a not-too-hot air temperature. The high tea will only enrich your life for a few short hours (two to be exact) so enjoy it while you can. The Great Gatsby High Tea comes with a pretty obvious theme, so make sure you dress to the nines and don your best Great Gatsby themed headwear. If you’re a fedora wearer, or you love decorating yourself in feathers like a bejewelled peacock then this event was virtually make for you.
