Table Mountain Choc |
If two of your greatest loves are chocolate and Table Mountain, you are in for a treat in more ways than one.
Firstly, local company Table Mountain Chocolate is responsible for, if you haven’t guessed already, something called TableMountainChoc, a creamy cocoa bar that is shaped like the Mother City’s most famous landmark and can fit in the palm of your hand.
“Table Mountain is so inspirational and represents the culture and diversity of Cape Town, and I thought a 3D chocolate version of this icon would be a great way for people to not only remember their experience of Cape Town but to share it with friends and family as well,” says Jan de Jager, the man behind this delectable treat.
TableMountainChoc comes in milk (43% cocoa) and dark chocolate (72% cocoa) variations (they go for R58 each, and R50 when you buy online!) and, as Jan maintains, indulging in the goodies is meant to be a sensory experience.
“Our chocolate bar is beautiful to look at, it’s soft to the touch, you smell its cocoa aroma as soon as it is unwrapped and then you can hear the snapping sound when biting into it. Finally, your taste buds enjoy the smooth silky taste as the chocolate melts in your mouth.
So if you are looking for a unique gift for friends or family or an indulgent treat for yourself, this is a great option, and it doesn’t hurt that you will save some pennies as well.
