What better way to celebrate World Tourism Day than with an indulgent food and wine affair in the Cape Winelands? Savour Stellenbosch Valley is set to make its first-ever appearance on the culinary calendar on Saturday, 27 September 2014 at the beautiful Neethlingshof Estate.   

The event promises a load of bottle-popping fun; with five celebrated wine farms each presenting their finest, a team of world-class chefs whipping up gourmet grub and some live music to set the tone.

So whether you’re of a mind to sit, glass of crisp white in hand, and enjoy the rolling greens of the tree-lined estate or tickle your taste buds with some moreish morsels, this food and wine extravaganza is sure to be a superb day out.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SAVOUR STELLENBOSCH VALLEY FOOD & WINE EVENT

WINE, WINE AND MORE WINE: It’s no secret that the Stellenbosch region is home to some of the finest wine producers South Africa has to offer. With that in mind, it’s little wonder that this food and wine to-do will be raising a glass to celebrate vino estates like Middelvlei, The House of JC Le Roux, Fleur du Cap and, of course, Neethlingshof – each of which will be offering up five wines for tasting. And in addition to the lip-smacking selection of tasty reds, white, pinks and bubblies on offer, there’ll be some other tummy-warming liquid treats like Van Ryn’s Brandy Distillery.

DELICIOUS EATS: A wine affair surely wouldn’t be complete without some complementary eats! Guests can expect to indulge their taste buds with an array of mouth-watering sweet and savoury dishes prepared by a host of celebrated chefs.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: Not only will you be able swig back some palate-pleasing wines and sample from a range of delicious eats, there will be some laidback live music to get you in the swing of things.

Tickets for the event are available via Wineroute.co.za and cost R300p/p including a tasting glass, wine tastings, food and live entertainment. Pre-booking is essential as space is limited.
