The ultimate challenge is trying to find something to entertain and interest the kids during the winter school holiday. Well, look no further. This holiday you have the option of enrolling your child in workshops which focus on educating curious minds on how basic robotic equipment works while giving them a fun environment to experience something new.
There are two workshops on offer and they will run from Wednesday, 29 June 2016 to Friday, 1 July 2016 at the Cape Town Science Centre in Observatory.
2016 ROBOTICS HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS ON OFFER
Robotics and Aviation Holiday Workshop: This workshop is ideal for children in grades one to four, with a focus on basics to better establish their knowledge of robotics later on. The little ones will learn to make crocodiles, boats and top spinners. They will learn about what makes aeroplanes fly, and all about electronics generally.
Mindstorm Robotics Holiday Workshop: This workshop is designed for children in grades five to nine, with this course being slightly more advanced but is still applicable for beginners. The focus for this course is team building, and programming Mindstorm robots. How cool is that?
TICKETS FOR THE ROBOTICS HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS AT THE CAPE TOWN SCIENCE CENTRE
There are limited spaces for each course, so make sure you get your little one in as soon as possible! You can email the organisers at info@ortsacape.org.za, or call them on +27 (0)21 488 8516. The entire three-day course costs R600 per child, and they run from 9am to 12pm.
