If you’re one for trying out food experiences, then you’ll know that Franschhoek is home to some of the Western Cape’s finest eateries. A brand new addition to the Winelands restaurant scene is 1693 at Bellingham Estate. Conceptualised by Guy Clark and Samantha Nolan, the eatery is hosting pop-up lunch (with seven courses!)this season. To book your spot, email reservations@1693.co.za
Hosted by Masterchef season one contestant Guy Clark and his chef partner, Sam Nolan, the lunch and dinner series is truly one-of-a-kind. Eager guests are welcomed into the venue, which is a converted wine cellar with a rustic and pared-down feel. Currently, Guy and Sam only cater to maximum of 14 guests per event, so space is limited.
The menu is varied and is subject to change via the seasons and availability of fresh ingredients. Not just limited to foodies with a well-honed knowledge of the culinary world, the pop-up lunches are a welcoming space for those wanting to explore locally made food. Each course is paired with either tea or wine and appropriate music is selected to represent the stellar menu.
BOOKING INFORMATION FOR THE POP UP LUNCHES AT 1693 IN FRANSCHHOEK
