Tickets for kids from R10! And you can bring your own food
Small businesses are key to creating and maintaining a thriving economy, and having recognised this, the folks at Hubspace Khayelitsha are hosting another Pitch Perfect event to give entrepreneurs in the Mother City township the chance to share ideas and vie for funding from potential investors. The third in the series, the session goes down on Wednesday, 14 May 2014, and audiences from all over Cape Town are invited to come listen to and support Mzansi’s budding movers and shakers.
Hubspace Khayelitsha is a social enterprise that gives start-up business owners from the area access to a shared workspace, a collaborative network of fellow entrepreneurs and advisory services with the aim of helping people uplift themselves from poverty through successfully executed ideas. Pitch Perfect, which is a 2014 World Design Capital event, allows a few selected up-and-comers to pitch their million ‘randela’ ideas in just three minutes to a panel of enterprise development and corporate social investment officers who could provide the backing needed to get businesses off the ground.
Previous successful pitches include plans for design studios, bakeries, medicine delivery services and NGOs, and only a single winner will get to take home the main prize. However, the whole experiences promises to be an enriching for both pitchers and audience members, who can leave inspired or who may know just the right interested angel investor. Don’t miss this chance to be a part of something that makes this city great.
TICKETS FOR PITCH PERFECT AT HUBSPACE KHAYELITSHA
Tickets to Pitch Perfect are available online via Quicket.co.za, or they can be reserved by emailing tabisa@hubspace.co.za; they cost R30p/p.
The event starts at 6pm.
