Looking for information on this year's ( 2012) series of Murder Mystery Dinner at Five Flies Restaurant?
Join Cape Town Opera and Five Flies Restaurant for a night filled with mystery, a touch of madness and handful of mayhem on a 'fateful' Friday night.
The Poisoned Minds Mystery Dinner draws inspiration from Cape Town Opera's forthcoming production of The Rake's Progress by Stravinsky.
The setting for the murder mystery is Bedlam - a South London asylum for the mentally insane. The year is 1750. The protagonist, Tom Rakewell, was admitted a while ago and his physician, Doctor Wanderbuschen, has all but despaired of succeeding in successfully treating him. In a desperate attempt to cure Tom's hallucinations, the doctor has invited you and seven of Tom's other acquaintances to a group therapy session in the hope of jolting his sanity.
What none of you anticipated was that a dreadful murder would occur and that murderer would be one of you...
Expect a delectable 3-course meal, a collection of beguiling characters and an intriguing mystery with plenty of twists to unravel. Bookings close on the 12 August 2011.
If you're looking for a special Friday evening in Cape Town this August the Five Flies restaurant in Keerom Street might just give you a unique dinner experience this month - murder included.
