For the first time ever, residents of the quaint little town of Malmesbury can delight in their favourite movies under the glowing stars. That long trek to catch a Galileo Open Air Cinema screening in the Mother City is no longer a factor as the inflatable silver screen is opening at the Malmesbury Rugbyfootbal Club on Saturday, 29 October 2016.
A special selection of comedies, animations, musicals and more will be shown on this brand new outdoor cinema screen, and what better way to spend a warm summer’s eve than settling down to a great flick with a picnic and bottle of wine. Tuck into decadent delights from the market stalls and food vendors, and sip on refreshing beverages that are on sale at the venue. These local vendors are from the Swartland community, so your contributions will be supporting their businesses and families.
Perfect for a romantic couples’ night, or a cosy family treat, the Malmesbury Outdoor Cinema will be open on the last Saturday of every month during summer. Bring a blanket and snuggle up for a heart-warming romance, or laugh out loud at the light-hearted comedies; whatever your preference in genre, there will be a screening for you. The first movie on show is Crazy, Stupid, Love.
For something a little extra special, book a Love Nest and treat your partner to a free bottle of delicious wine, a WhatsApp waiter, a double bed with blankets and pillows, and the ideal view of the screen. This luxurious setting, coupled with the twinkling stars and VIP treatment is sure to earn you some brownie points.
