Langebaan Lagoon Celebration Skateboarding Competition
See up-and-coming skaters show off their skills at this exciting boarding contest
Whether you can kick-flip like a pro or you simply enjoy watching…..from the side-lines, this West Coast skating competition is bound to appeal to you. The Langebaan Lagoon Celebration Skate Contest takes place at the Langebaan Skatepark on Saturday, 2 May 2015 and both boarders and spectators are welcome.
Forming part of the Langebaan Lagoon Festival, an annual celebration and falling on a long weekend, this fun-filled, family-friendly event is bound to be full of entertainment as skaters present their best tricks and slick turns in front of an appreciative crowd. Those who follow skateboarding can see some of their favourite moves in action, while boarders can size up their competition and, if they’re taking part, potentially win great prizes and some serious respect.
This time around, there will be three categories within which competitors can register: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Each division has a different start time (see below), and at the end of the event, a prize-giving will be held to celebrate the champions of the air.
