For R150 you’re getting theatre, acrobatics & a family experience
If you’re looking for a little Saturday night taste of big hair, big clothes and big personality in Cape Town, then Good Hope FM’s Kinky Afro is the jam for you. It’s the grooviest (if you will), most legitimately retro 80s and 90s party to hit the Mother City, and it’s all going down on Saturday, 1 December 2012 at Cape Town’s oldest nightlife haunt, Club Galaxy in Rylands, Athlone.
Larger-than-life DJ Nigel Pierce will be taking the jol live on Good Hope FM’s airwaves from 10pm onwards, so even if you can’t be there in person, turn back the hands of time, tune in and don’t touch that dial.
What’s more, New York-born singer, songwriter and popular 90s diva Robin S. will perform live at this month’s old-school opskop. Best known for her chart-topper ‘Show Me Love’ and smash hit ‘Luv 4 Luv’, this hip-hop and R&B songstress will transport you back to the days of floppy hats and jelly-bean shoes with her signature sound.

About Club Galaxy in Cape Town
Operating since 1978, Club Galaxy (also known in some circles as Gala) has been at the forefront of the nightlife scene in Cape Town for more than three decades now. As this hot haunt has only grown in popularity since its inception – a feat most nightclubs only dream of – a night out at Galaxy is now almost a rite of passage.
