Ken Forrester Celebrates 25 Years With Winelands Lunch

Money raised at long-table feast goes towards school for wineland’s kids

Ken Forrester Vineyards is celebrating its silver anniversary of winemaking – 25 years – and to mark this achievement, it’s hosting a glamorous long-table lunch on the lawns of the estate’s manor house. This is the grand finale to a series of smaller events commemorating the estate’s milestone.

The lunch starts at 11am, but tickets are limited so book your seat for 16 November.

WINELANDS LUNCH WITH LIVE MUSIC
The day-long festivities start with a special private performance from the band Bottomless Coffee. While the music plays, you can walk around the venue and taste some of the estate’s favourite vintages. Afterwards, sit down at the long table for a seasonally-inspired family-style luncheon, paired with wine, of course.

There is a good cause behind the event, too. It aims to raise awareness and funding for SPARK Lynedoch, a school in Stellenbosch. SPARK schools are a network of private educational institutions committed to providing affordable, globally competitive education, and SPARK Lynedoch aims to provide top-class schooling to the children of the winelands, a cause close to Ken’s heart.

“Out of these 25 events we are looking to create a bursary fund that will see underprivileged children getting a first-class education that would lead to university,” says Forrester. “The Long Table Lunch promises to be a truly memorable day, and all for a good cause too.”

ATTENDING THE KEN FORRESTER LONG TABLE LUNCH
The Long Table Lunch will kick off at 11h00 on Saturday 16 th November until 16h00. Tickets cost R795 per person and are limited, so book now on www.quicket.co.za, or at the Wine Lounge at Ken Forrester Vineyards.
