East Coast Radio and DSTV Indian present a Grammy award winning superstar to our shores

As part of the 150 Year Celebration of the first Indian in South Africa, India’s most prolific and successful composer has added South Africa to his worldwide tour.

Kicking off at the Sun City Superbowl on the 20th of November, A.R. Rahman will then head down to the mother city for a performance at the Grand Arena at GrandWest on the 24th, and as a fitting Grand Finale - a first ever music spectacular at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on the 26th of November 2010.

Best known as the man who has redefined contemporary Indian music, A.R. Rahman came to the world’s attention for his work on the score for the Academy Award-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire", which earned him two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe, two Grammys and a BAFTA award.  

A.R. Rahman embarked on his world tour in June this year and has already taken his “theatrical experience” to 16 major cities worldwide, and has been bestowed with two of India's highest national civilian honours in honour of his contribution to music.
