Winter makes the world seem dull and dreary to us humans, which is why the 2015 Ideas | Idees Magazine’s Trunk Show is back on the social calendar to inject some colour and inspiration into our lives with an all-new, bigger and better showcase of Mzansi’s finest crafts. The much-anticipated event, now extended to three days, returns to the Simondium Country Lodge in Franschhoek from Friday, 10 to Sunday, 12 July 2015. Attendees can expect to see the pages of the famed publication come to life via a carefully curated selection of bespoke gifts, home décor and designer wares from top producers.
“The Ideas Magazine Trunk Show is a unique browse-and-buy experience that personally introduces the creations of over 30 talented exhibitors to an audience on the hunt for handmade and niche products,” explains Ideas Magazine Editor Terena le Roux.
This year, the bustling expo has extended to become a three-day, fun-filled design fair that’s set to get your creative juices flowing (hopefully inspiring you to finally get those DIY projects started).
And while the extravaganza certainly looks to be inspiring for DIY enthusiasts and those looking for guidance on décor and style, craft entrepreneurs who’ve turned their passion projects into businesses will also find plenty to get excited about. So while we’re sure there’s very little arm-twisting needed to encourage lovers of handmade décor and design to head down to Simondium Country Lodge, here are our reasons not to miss this showcase.
